Red light conditions. 45 minute seance.

Transfiguration Medium: Tracey

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Margaret.

This seance was set up in the same way as for the Spirit Space circle. The only difference is that the music CD for this one has been timed to last for 30 minutes, with an additional final three pieces to allow for the vessel a very gradual return to full consciousness.

On this occasion Chris and Margaret were seated side by side. Dave was sitting opposite them at first. Later Chris indicated for him to move to another chair (this was upon guidance from FC). All three sitters had a clear view of the cabinet area.

During the first two pieces played on the CD Tracey reached an altered state of consciousness, which became stabilised soon afterwards. Both Margaret and Chris thought they noticed a mist around the upper area within the cabinet, but were both unsure, mentioning their feeling that this may have been a 'red-lighting anomally'.

As time passed further changes became noticed. All three sitters questioned the reality of what they were seeing. It seemed that the Medium's face was changing, but when they squinted their eyes, or changed their focus slightly, all decided that this was, again, a result of their unclear vision within red lighting conditions.

After a few more minutes however we all suddenly realised that we could no longer recognise the Medium's face at all! Whatever we did, squinting, turning our heads, peering beneath shaded brows, even making ourselves crossed eyed....we couldn't recognise Tracey! There were then many facial changes witnessed, many different faces flickered across 'where Tracey's face should be'.

Finally Chris received a clear reminder from FC to indicate that the seance should be ended precisely in the manner previously agreed. Chris therefore asked Spirit to withdraw their energy gently and steadily in order to enable the Medium to return to full consciousness within the approved period.

For the sitters this was actually the time that proved most evidential. The gradual change in the Medium, and to see her own face re-appearing, the withdrawal of the fine ectoplasmic mist....all was clearly witnessed by all. No doubt remained in anyone's mind.

A very interesting seance and a fine demonstration of Transfiguration Phenomena.

Red lighting conditions 55 minute séance.

Medium: Tracey (seated, unrestrained, within the open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Pam.

The Lodge was set this evening according to guidance offered by Red Hawk. The sitter’s chairs were placed in a row across the central circle; facing the cabinet which is sited in the South corner. The sitters were placed so as to best have a clear view of the cabinet area within red lighting conditions. The red light was placed on the floor with the control switch close to Chris.

In the far north corner an audio tape recorder was positioned. This upon suggestion from Red Hawk was placed for the purpose of potential spirit communication through the process known as EVP.
In the far west corner, upon the table, a battery operated digital recorder was sited. This device is now used to record all seances held within the Lodge.

As is customary we played a CD during the seance. Upon advice from FC, this CD was of 40 minute duration, after which time Chris (again guided by FC) informed Spirit that the seance would be closed, and then subsequently played the two pieces of 'coming out' music, during which time the vessel came out of trance.

During the seance Chris, Dave and Pam watched the cabinet area. The red light casts shadows and as the vessel's face changed position there was debate as to whether transfiguration was taking place or not. Pam afterwards said that she is totally convinced that there was a change to the physical shape of the medium's shoulders, as well as her neck and face. She felt that this happened twice, that the first time she saw an elderly woman, and the second time a man. Dave disagreed at first, saying that he felt sure that the apparent changes were caused purely by the shadows cast by red lighting. Chris was also unconvinced, and felt as Dave did. However, once the seance was ended we three discussed the variations in our perception and all three agreed that the Medium's fringe (which covers her forehead) was 'missing' during much of the seance.....for some reason we'd overlooked this fact!

An interesting seance, with many questions unanswered. We all want to take another look!
